We used to have a lot of these growing as wild flowers in our back yard, but they don't germinate fast enough compared to how fast our grass grows, so they all ended up being mowed down, and never coming back. :<

It is a shame, but we have copper heads here, too, and they like hiding in the grass. We have dogs, and at the time me and my sister were both in grade school, so it was a worthy sacrifice... :(
